With all of its benefits, the internet can be a dangerous place. Here are some things you need to know to stay cyber smart. 

Always Stay Alert

  • Always be aware of what information you make available online. Some people will try to steal your information to commit cybercrimes. 
  • Always be careful who you entertain online. Cybercriminals often have multiple fake accounts to trick people into giving away their personal information.

Be Responsible

  • Don’t share any information from unreliable sources.
    Fake News can be harmful because it can spread fear and uncertainty. If it’s not from a trusted news source, don’t share it.
  • Cyberbullying is a crime.
